Today I scored a rust free hood, $33.45. Also scored 5 intermittent wiper control boxes and 2 switches, the boxes were $3.95 each and the switches were like 2 bux. I'll have more parts then I know what to do with if it keeps going like this! I guess it's a sign, that I need to put my '76 back together! I'm finding everything I need for it dirt cheap! Love it!
Shouldn't you be in school? Oh, wait...I bet you actually found those out behind the school dumpster during PE
Yep, jealous. Good deals like those are hard to come by in this area. By the way, did you ever get a chance to score a metal-backed turn signal cam for me? I bet you got so excited with the hood and wipers and forgot my cam... I don't blame you, and won't hold it against you.
Yep, I'm jealous. I check the paper every day for Mavericks, found a 76 in the paper this morning for $100. Left work to go look at it, turned out to be a Mustang II.
I only go half days. Get out at 10:30. Work study. Of course, working for my dad is pretty good if I need to go to the junkyard or something. I just watch the junk yards like a hawk. The second and new Mav or Comet comes in, I'm there. I have found that if you want the good parts, assumeing their are good parts, you gotta get there before anyone else has a chance!
whats with green.....the rust free hood used to fix my grabber was green i have another green rustfree hood in the shed and seems all the ones i see on the net are green
Come to think of, your right! The rust free hood that was on my '74 Grabber when I bought it was green too! Sold that hood to Tim Holland (mtrhed) to cut up and repair a Grabber hood. WM23N1, I got these parts at the Henry County Pull-A-Part down off I-675. I have had pretty good luck at the Norcross Pull-A-Part too though and it's only 15 minutes from my house! Got a rust free Comet hood with perfect hood lip trim there for $28 back in July. Also have gotten several intermittent wiper setups there and a pair of damn nice '70-'72 arm rests there that are now on Earl Branham's car. I have a whole list of specific cars and trucks and years that have parts that work on Mavericks. I check Pull-A-Part's site every couple of days to see if any new have came in.
