I also agree with that statement too. Once they drove away, the car and all responsibilities was theirs. When I bought my mav, the guy sold it to me cheap because he thought the engine had locked up. I bought it without ever looking at the engine. turned out it was the starter. But that didn't mean he could come back after the sale and ask for more money.. whenever I buy a used car I always assume I will have to repair something..

wow.. 250 for r&r plugs... i am in the wrong line of work.... robbing people and sleeping ok at night.. how is that accomplished... that shop should be steered clear of...

and if your hubby has been working on cars.. how is it that the plugs were the wrong ones "all of a sudden"? it ran fine with them before... soudns kinda like that shop is a fraud shop.. i would call the BBB.

Just for the record....I always set my price just a little high and let the buyer negotiate a few dollars off me. If something goes out shortly after the sale then I have that to hang over their head.

Learned that a few years ago after selling a van. I was asking $2000. We dicker around for a while and I sell it to him for my bottom dollar of $1600. I just wanted it gone. Week later he calls and says fuel pump went out and cost $100 to fix and could I do anything for him. I tell him after he negotiated me to bottom dollar that I felt no obligation what-so-ever. I suggested I would pay his $100 repair bill if he sent me a check for the $400 he bargained out of me. You want a new car guarantee .....go buy a new car.

:tiphat: Xtasea, I have to agree with everyone else....Don't worry yourself sick about this. It is their problem, however I believe there is more to this story....lets say a spark plug vibrated loose, the compression blew it out along with the remaining threads, they had to get another cylinder head or several thread inserts replaced....Any how...I don't think it is your problem....Just my:2cents:
