Well I've been meaning to do this for a while but other things kept getting in the way. Only bad thing now is that I don't have a gas guage, but I will fix that soon. So here is what it looks like with them off. I mounted them in the stock location and with them off you can barely see that there is a guage there at all.

And this is what they look like when they are on. The really cool thing about the speedo is the way you calibrate it to your car. It has a pulse sender that hooks to the end of the speedo inside the car, it has a button you push until it says CAL then you drive a mile and hit the button again and you're done. The speedo knows how many pulses it takes to cover a mile so with this speedo it doesn't matter what gears or what size tire you have, ever.

The brand is Nordskog and I got them from summit. They are the 3 3/8" size.

What did you do about all the idiot lights? Or did you just leave them out?

I took the whole cluster out. The cable that feeds the cluster is stuffed behind it right now, I used the power wire and the wire that feeds the lights so that when you pull the light switch it dims the guages. I already have a little 3 guage set hooked up for oil, temp, and volts. I will need to trace down the fuel sender wires out of there.

Oh man! That is so sweet! Any chance I could talk you into reving it up and taking a pic with the line up a bit? Is that a shadow or reflection off to the left?

Hey ward, you said that you used the power wire and the wire that feeds the lights to hook up the lights on your gauges. which wires are those exaclty, I'm going to put a 3gauge pod in my car with lights and was wondering what wire to splice into.

I saw the gauges in person today! Man they really look sharp! Ward has ALOT of trick ideals for our maverick and comets! I am glad he found his way to this board and the MCCI!

Did you guys see the white face stick on things on ebay? I think they look pretty neat and the fact that they are only 20 bucks looks good too! Oh and I love your setup Ward. Great Idea, Charlie Ping did a similiar setup but with different gauges. I like the digitalness of it!!!

Thank you for the kind words everybody. Here is a pic of them at over 4000rpm, still not redlining but it is up on jack stands and I don't feel confortable going too high sitting on them. I bought the guages about 2 yrs ago now and I don't remember what they cost but I'm sure it is close to the price summit lists them for now which is $129 each.

C'mon Ward, put it in gear so we can see a speedo reading! :D Make sure you put it in the right gear so when it falls off the jackstands it goes in the direction of the door. ;)

Just kidding, those do look super sharp!
