Dropped off boomerangs in January at Blakely's Chrome Platers I got a call last Saturday from them telling me they were lost or misplaced Iam so angry I want to go down there but I know I will end up in jail, I told the guy you have two weeks to find the trim or get me another pair or I will see you in court and I am serious about this. Guys what would you do we all know these are not easy to come buy. Seems to me the guy sold them or traded for something but I know Iam not going to let this go.:evilsmile

I wouldn't let it slide neither......I'd tell the guy exactly how I felt, but keep your cool and don't let tempers fly.Tell him... He has a certain amount of time to produce to your satisfaction or you'll see him in court

if they don't find them or replace them i'd start looking to see what they've gone for on ebay or anywhere else you know of and tell them this is what there worth. if nothing else it's hard to go to court without knowing the value.

I believe if you treat them firmly but fairly, it will work out in the end. Offer to find another set at his expense if he does not come up with them in a reasonable amount of time. I doubt the loss was intentional, its not like there's a black market for them.

I agree, that's pretty sound advice. Give him a chance, maybe if you can find another set, the guy will pay for the new set and make it up to you by doing the rechroming at no charge. It's worth a try to work it out.

If you cant find a set let me know and I will take them off my 75 that is in the prosess of being stripped for parts and if you will take care of the shipping I will give them to you.

    Let me know

I was talking to a guy at work tonight and he told me the same thing, he said I need documents showing what their worth or what their going for man mine were nice I wish I would of never tried to have them chromed this is a joke. Every time I call and leave a message he doesn't reply. Thats why Iam thinking of court. If he could just make it right I could deal with it, but at this point I would give at least 400.00 dollars to be back were I first started being a nice pair even with some little pitting.

    suggestion for court

If it does go to court, and at this point it looks likely. Do a search on ebay in the completed auctions categories, and print out the highest sold ones, for a pair and individually. This way you have a concrete value placed upon them. Since there are no aftermarket companies making them.

    Good luck!(y)
