Hmmm...my definition of a pretty nice car would be a 68 ShelbyGT500KR...average price right now is about $100K So what the heck...I'm just trying to make my Maverick look like one.
i was just wanting some general prices thought maybe you could give them to me you knwo you could have said 302 auto grabber fair shape what ever price or 250 auto rough but no you couldnt but i thank the ones of you that could oh yeah were not talkin about shelbys here i thought we were talkin about mavericks!
I sold a '73 Maverick that was originally a six-cylinder car, no PS, no A/C. It had a 302 and C-4 in it. It was factory two-tone paint, needed an interior, a hood and could use a paint job. I sold it $2,000 last November. I paid $1,200 for it the previous year I bought a '77 Mav with a built six-banger, c-4, and virtually no interior for $1,200. I'm about through restoring it; you can't touch it for less than $8,000. I bought a rust-free '73 Maverick Grabber with factory PS, AC, 302, and auto. I paid $2,500 for it. I paid $600 for a 70 Maverick with an 8-point roll cage and 1957 Fairlane 9" rear end. Prices are all over the place. The price you pay is going to depend on the car and where it is located.
Yeah, I knew what you were talking about, but being that we all like to have fun on this board, I had to give you a little bit of a hard time...don't be mad at me. And really, as for general prices, there really is no such thing unless you're looking for price ranges from $2000-$10000. Any of the cars that are usually for sale in that price range can be pretty nice. I presently have seven Mavericks and most all of mine would fall in that range. Well, they would have before Katrina did a number on some of them. Anyway, if you want to be a little more specific, your 72 Grabber which is a highly desirable car, equipped with a factory 302, factory buckets, factory a/c, put back to like new condition would probably appraise out upwards of $10-12K. If it needed to be restored, had lots of rust, low on options, might bring $2K. A decent driver, not worthy of putting in a show might bring $3K or a little better. A nice driver worthy of putting in some shows but not necessarily a 1st place show winner would probably be closer to $5K or better. So you have to understand that there is a lot of room for variables in there. Anyway, we are happy to have you here :Handshake and will help in any way we can. You'll have to excuse our humor from time to time...and don't pay any attention to anything Hawko says. That dude is ...but he is building a nice car! Oh yeah, some of us do talk about Shelbys quite often on here. We all dream of finding one of the rare Shelby Mavericks that were sold in Mexico. There were supposedly only 300 sold, so who knows...maybe one day one will come to the surface.
WOW! Lets talk a little about being an ingrate. That is, according to Webster is a: An ungrateful person. [From Middle English ingrat, ungrateful, from Old French, from Latin ingrtus : in-, not; see in-1 + grtus, pleasing, thankful; see gwer-2 in Indo-European Roots.] ingrate n : a person who shows no gratitude Now lets talk about being vague when asking a question. Again, according to Webster it is: vague 1. Not thinking or expressing oneself clearly. 2. Not clear in meaning or application. 3. characterized by such a lack of precision that a person of ordinary intelligence would have to guess if particular conduct is being proscribed : characterized by a failure to describe forbidden conduct in terms sufficient to provide fair warning
what is a average price on a pretty nice car just was wondering they are going for
Just my on this subject and I do not think people on this board need to be treated as idiots from someone who asked for help and then basically tells you that you are an F*($^#% idiot for the answer you gave them. Not in those exact words but doing it in a smart a$$ way as to cause someone to get mad when they read such a reply to a call for help.
Geez Hawk"C"o...I'm trying to make the new guy like it here and there you go trying to scare him off!!! See...I told you he was . And Terry...I intentionally left the "c" out...I just wanted to see if you could actually "C" anything with those messed up eyes!!!
