    carb help

i have a comet with a 302 in it, but its got a real bad idol and it stalls prety often. i used some gumout on it but it realy didnt help at all. im thinking something must be wrong with the carb so i want to get a new one.
i dont know alot about them but i hear a 4 barrel(?) is the best way to go. what do you guys think? what would be best to replace it with?
and has this happend to anyone elses?
    thanks alot

If it's still stock, you're going to have to put a new intake manifold on for a 4v carb.
