Well after a nice summer i am back and now have a house of my own. My last few posts were a little frustrating for me because it consisted of me posting pics of my mav. in all it's terror. I was told to just get a car in better condition. The pic i will post with this post may refresh your memory. It is just 1 of the many problems. Anyways I am fixing this beast, 3 months of not being able to touch my mav has only motivated me more. But I decided since i have atleast 6 years of school in Ames, IA i bought a house there. Ooh and YES it has a garage aka: MAV house. Sunday I bring the beast home to Ames. It is a 60mile drive of towns and freeway. I am planning for the scarriest day of my life. My mav barely has breaks, numerous holes, and NO exhaust! But before this summer a friend and i got it's I6 running like new, or atleast we hope. hehe So if there is anyone on the road this sunday watch out for a big black 1972 maverick in Iowa. It feels good to be back on the forum. HELLO EVERYONE! ooh and here is a taste of my mav. incase u dont remember....

Glad your back and good luck! Looks like you have a real project there.
The good thing about that hole in the floor is, your bad brakes just got a little better :D

    Yeah.....

That gives all new meaning to having the "pedal to the metal".
It now reads "pedal to the pavement".

Only the fools or the dedicated would tackle a project like this. Problem is nobody knows where one ends and the other begins. It's nice to know I'm in good company.

My Grabber slightly resembles that, and I have to be honest if was not for the fact that it is Grabber and the price was right, I would question how much dedication I would have for it otherwise!

On a brighter note, think about the what you will learn, and satisfaction that you have knowing that you seen the project through! You will definitely want to take before, during and after pics!

    Good luck!
