I have never heard of doing it over the phone. I know you could do them over the internet, but someone on a Mustang forum told me they aren't doing them like that anymore either. I was going to get one on my '69.5, but haven't got around to it yet. I never did get a 999 History Report back from Ford on that car.

    Guys,
Its a Sprint!! It needs 1/4s and some simple body work. The motor is shot. The head is leaking water out the side and oil smells like gas.It is also leaking oil out the back. (250 six C4 auto) I do have a 351 w that I could rebuild and install but is that going to ruin the value of the car? Basically i would be buying a shell. Not sure how it will turn out but I'll let you guys know. Thanks for the help (and support network for my addicition).

$2500 for a shell that needs repair? I'd have a hard time doing that. But I guess if you want one bad enough..

I would have a hard time paying that for the car in the condition you described. I just bought a Sprint in November with an excellent rust free body (needs paint and interior) 302, c4, power steering, runs and drives damn near perfect for $3000. I think I got a great deal on it but my point here is that there are some deals out there...just gotta find them. Now a couple years from now, we'll probably all be wishing we had bought the car for that.

What the heck, buy it. They are few and far between. Yea there are a few great deals out there but I have spent way more waiting for them.

as for the value. the value is in how much fun you have with it. mine has a 200 in it and it's going. i've got an 87 roller block sitting here, one that's going to be a 331 when finished. nothing radical. just a street driver. i'm just looking for a street car that i won't be afraid to drive on the street daily. :) good luck. hope you can talk him down a bit.

Mavericks are worth more modified than stock.

Most cars are right now, with the exception of most of the factory big block muscle cars, and even then they aren't usually hurt by tasteful mods.
