Thinking about routing an external trans cooler in-line with the radiator cooler. Is there an actual "in" line and "out" line on the C-4? Or does it simply run on pressure. In other words, is the top fitting on the trans the "in" line and bottom "out" or vise versa, or does it matter? Had my trans rebuilt and am getting ready to pull the engine. Will be receiving my new engine in a couple weeks and all will be going back in together.

top & bottom fittings? the c4s ive seen have front & back fittings. the one closest to bellhousing is pressure out to cooler. one in rear near tailhousing is return.
