    Hello,
Im new here and I wanna let you know my story. I grew up around nothing but Fords my entire life and my family has owned about a million and a half 73-79 bodystyle F-250's. when I was 14 my da bought me a truck and I started my very own restoration project. I am now almost 17 and very proud of how it came out but wanted a car.

See theres this kid I know. His names chris. He owns a 67 Mustang and of course we thought we were cool. Racing around town likes theres no tommarow hoping the radar detector will save us from any ticket we may come close to getting. Well a few months ago a girl pulled up next to us in a Ford Maverick. She insisted she could beat us. I was dumb and laughed at her. Needless to say we had the doors blown off of that Mustang. It was pathetic. I have since had a bug and want a maverick REALLY bad. I have been doing lots of research and hope you guys will enjoy watching the process of me working and fixing the car up.

Incase anyone wants to see my truck heres a link for you to look at.

    :Welcome:

Nice truck! I almost bought a '76 F100 a few years ago but passed on it. My grandpa has a '78 Bronco Ranger XLT which is the same body style as your truck. Some of my earlyest memories are of rideing around in that Bronco with my grandpa. It fell into disrepair in the late 90's, and I've been slowly bringing it back to life. One of these days I'll end up with it.

Mavericks are great cars. Good luck in your search.

Thanks allot guys for the comments on my truck. Some of my earliest memories are riding in my dads 78 F-250. Like you said same body style. But my dads was covered in cancer has since been made into a very nice street rod.

I will be keeping my truck. I need a truck for allot of work and things I enjoy. I just hope to get a maverick as a second toy that I can make my own. Looking around the board I can see most of you are pretty knowledgable.
