Hi all, as I recently entered the Maverick world, with the ownership of a 70, 2 door, 6 banger, I wanted to find a place to get help on the not too far restification. I'm new to Mavericks, but not to the old iron scene. I live in Puerto Rico, and have a small group of projects cars, which include; 65 Falcon Futura, 2 dr. hardtop, w/original 289 & auto tranny. Work in progress car, waiting for me to finish the interiors. 70 Chevy nova, 2 dr, 6 cyl, PG. Finished project. "for sale". 68 Camaro SS, 350, 4 speed. Finished project. Wife calls it, my other girl friend. 81 Civic hatchback, 1.3 lt., 5 speed. One owner, mint conditions, retired daily driver. My plans for the Maverick are to instal a late V8 engine, a 4.6 lt if possible, with an AOD or AODE trans. I also have a 92 Grand Marquis and IMO that engine is flawless. Find a 9" rear end & instal 3.73 gears/possi, if po$$ible. Nice 70 Grabber green paint & hood, and some modern bucket seats. Well, if you Guys help me on this little list, I'd be more than pleased. I promise to learn all I can about mavericks, to use the search options, and to help as much as I could, on any car related situation. I've been reading a couple of posts, and noticed a great group of members here. Take Care all, and enjoy your toys, and please, excuse my poor english. Saludos.:Handshake Bruno aka "1slow7t"
Bruno- Welcome to the board. Where are you from in La Isla del Encanto? My wife is from Aguadilla. I go exploring while visiting her family. American iron is quite pricey there compared to the states. Good luck with your project. Seth redcometgt@aol.com
Hi, I live very close to Aguadilla, just a bit to the south, in Mayaguez. Maybe we can get together in one of your visits. Yes, kinda pricey, but if one is on the look all the time, like me, you'll always find some at a good price. Thanks for the reply and Take Care.
I'll be back in the Spring. We were just there for Thanksgiving. I have seen several Mavericks, 1 '71/'72 Comet GT-black. I see lots of Falcons. Seth redcometgt@aol.com
