Jamie, you got a 72 grabber? How does the rear valence and front bumper look?

Chill out, just kidding, dude :D I am the scooper, i don't try to piss people off, except for that Nazi guy who was on here a couple weeks ago...

I'm chilled. :) Actually, most people asked about the floor shifter and hump, Grabber spoiler, Grabber hood and I think someone asked about the Magnum 500's... But this has nothing to do with shadow's '69.5. Man I'm bad about getting threads off topic.

Me too. What was this thread about again

Actually, I have seen this car. I wanted it for the bumpers mostly, and that grill. The interior looked pretty good, for 35 year old vinyl, but there was craploads of junk on the seats and floor. Really couldn't get a good look at it.The trash probably acted as a sunblock to protect the seats over all the years :D

The engine looked trashed, covered with oil, and a big puddle of oil on the ground. I don't know what happened. I assumed someone just poured oil over the top of the engine to protect it from the elements. There was even a couple empty oil containers in the engine bay...

But if I know Shadow the way I think I do, He will make a damned fine car out of it

I'll carve the door panel off and get the door open. (Not really....door panel is actually nice) Eddie...PM me an address for the honey buns. :biglaugh:

It may end up being a strip car but I'd really like to retain as much of the original dash as possible. We'll see what happens. Hell...I'm still not sure if I'll go C4 or a Jerico.

I'm not sure what happened with the engine. Looks as if it had a stuck PCV valve and no hose to the breather element. Damn thing is as bad as the Exxon Valdez spill. Damn hood cut my thumb too. Rusty bastard has to go. Once I get the interior cleaned out I'll check on the condition of the seats. I do know that there won't be a bench seat in my hot rod.

Jerico and I have a nice history. :D Rear quarter isn't great but I don't think it's beyond repair. Looks like a big scrape of some kind. Rear valance and bumper are trash. Front bumper looks good. It may be up for sale sometime. Depends on whether I go with a fiberglass bumper or not.

Getemracing....check your email. Let me know.

The front bumper has rust as I recall as well as the back, along with a dent or two (else I would've taken them thar bumpers). Not that it can't be straightened and re-chromed.

The front valance is dented also - else Scooper would've taken that. :yup:

I did ask for 'just' the grill - I was told I'd have to take the entire car with it. :slap:

You've got your work cut out for sure. I'm glad it's going to get a new life. (y)

Trust me on this one, Rick......I'm not into straightening stock bumpers for a hot rod project. 'Glass bumpers are just too easy.
