K8142 is Moog's number and is correct for the 3 bolt design. You talking about upper or lower A arm? Uppers, you can put in new bushings. Lower, its easier to buy a new unit. While you got it apart, replace the spring insulators and perch saddle. Mustang stuff is the same.

What do you mean Mustang’s the same? Are u saying that I can use mustang rubber insulators for the springs. Do you know the part #? And what are Perch saddles?

This would help me out… because I’ve got this really bad Skronk’n skweeak when I come to a stop.

    Thanks

The suspension for 67-73 Mustangs are the same. Spring insulators are the same. The spring perch (saddle) is the pivoting part that the bottom of the spring sits on. The rubber bushing wears out and squeeks. CJ Pony parts has upper insulators for $2.95 each. Part # is CSI1. Spring saddles are part # CSS and are $19.95 each.

Hey Comet Dad. As they say...."While you're in the nieghborhood" I would suggest you redo all the suspension on the front.

Are there suspension kits that would be better than replacing all parts individually?

I dont recommend polygraphite and I really didnt like the upper ball joints supplied with PST kits. I ended taking mine out and throwing them in the trash. You'd be better off getting an OEM type kit from any Mustang supply house.
