so my friend bought this car over the summer, i passed on it because i really didnt plan on driving it and didnt really have anything i could use on my mav, at least for the $300 price. I thought it be a good first car for my buddy and I could always help him fix it up. well long story short, for his sixteenth b-day last week, between all his b-day money and a little help from the parents he bought a 1990-something integra 2 dr so since the apartment complex was putting pressure on his parents to get rid of it because of it being not tagged and his dad not wanting that ugly thing sitting around I offered him $60 and he took it so heres the specs 1976 mercury Comet 4 door grey exterior black LDO interior Factory A/C P/S P/B all working 250 I6/ auto, has a little over 80,000 on the clock and runs strong has all the usuall rust, rear quarters, doors and the hood is starting but lip moulding is still there and very nice the lover part of the das is in 3 pc. on the floor of the back seat the car seems like it was taken care of its entire life, (every under hood decale is still there) but has also spent its entire life out doors and shows. at the very least i'll have a nice rolling resto and its always nice to have a 4dr in the fleet(all these GM 2drs in the back yard ). i'll try to get some pics up tomorrow when theres some sun light
some people value these cars and some people dont. If your someone who thinks a acura integra is the greatest vehicle ever created what would your opinion be on a 30 year old 4dr mercury be? they had to get rid of it by tomorrow afternoon anyway if they didnt put an inspection sticker on it I took this pic of it on my cell last summer when he bought it, thats why its so small
haha yeah i just took your advice on that one, i forgot that was there dont get me wrong im not trying to wave my GM colors around here, I have a postive attitude towards any classic american car my first car was a old 85' olds cutlass I dumped a 350 olds v8(they are a totally diffrent block han a ch3vy 350) in to and have been collecting any old car i can get a hold of since, just so happens my mav was the first non GM and now i got a comet so hopefully she doesnt feel as lonely out there
