I use a 670 street avenger on a 331 and it works very well and I would recommend getting the vacuum secondary spring kit to fine tune how fast they come on and for a 302 with a 2500 stall would require you to use a stiffer spring, For your setup the 600 Holley would be a better match.
that is the combo i am going to buy soon.. the RPM package from summit racing.. i am already running the MSD igntion system on a guesstimate... the combo should have you running mid 12's to mid 13's.. i wont know until i get all the parts myself..
If you are buying soon I would get it from jegs,they are cheaper buy almost 4100 bucks.I ordered mine from summit ,had missing parts,head bolts ,all the lifters ,timming chain set,and gaskets.I called them and they were really hard to deal with.So I retured the order and got it from JEGS and a $100 bucks cheaper .I will not buy another thing from Summit. This is not the first time thet screwed me ,but it will be the last. I am hoping to be in the Hight 7's in the 1/8 th.In may I am gona take it to Bowling Green and run the 1/4.
Well it is running and I am happy for the most part,the convertor I got was a 2500 and it only is stalling at 1800 rpm.I'm kinda pissed about it,I guess I will call and complain.I think I 'm gona get a 3000 or 3500 stall and be done with it.I am gona put a 4.11 it it and 255 50 15 ET streets .It has 3.55 s and 275 60 15 now I think that is hurting it also.It pulls really hard on the top end.Here is a picture of it .crappy quallity .
