I don't know if anyone remembers me. I built my nephew a red 1974 Maverick about 2 years ago. He moved to LA and took the mav with him. I bought another mav for my daughter. It's a 1972 4 door with 60K original miles. It has a 302 and looks like an old family car. Drove it today and got more compliments in it than my vette. Pics to come.
Welcome back....that car you built has actually been the topic of a few post......looking forward to seeing what you do to a small bumper 4 door.
nice looking car. glad your nephew made it okay. i think i gave you my phone number back then in case he had a problem coming through arizona. was wondering for a while if i'd get a call.
I remember you because I just used a picture of your car for an article I wrote for the latest issue of ShortHorns. I could not find your name anywhere to give you credit. Oh well, welcome back.
Welcome back with a cool cruzer. If your nefew is still in the LA area, get him on the website so he can join in on some of the stuff we do out here.
That would be OK but right after he got to LA he blew an axle out of the 8" rear. He traded the car in toward the purchase of a new Honda. 2 years of work and he tore it up in about 2 months. I don't know where the car is. He is a sophomore at Loyola now. Even though the car is gone from here, I learned a lot about Mavs with it. It's cool that it is still being talked about. This current car will remain mostly stock. I would like 4 wheel disc brakes and EFI on it though, oh and maybe AOD...
Welcome back! And great to see you have another mav to work on. All those compliments should be telling you something:evilsmile , ditch the vette and join in with your daughter, get another Mav/Com. Very nice looking car! Hope she joins in with us as well. Darryl Baur is a young lady in Texas with a love for Mavs, maybe they can connect sometime.
