I live in Washington state, and I just got my first car, a 1972 Ford Maverick Grabber. It has a 250 Inline-6 in it with a C4 auto. The car was factory Bright Lime with a black Vinyl top and a black and grey interior. I am not sure what color the stripes were because the car was repainted black. Is there any way to tell what color the stripes were without getting a build sheet? Also, I need a right front fender for it. What years will fit? Any help would be appreciated.
to the board! Lots of good advice here...you can either ask a question or use the search button to seach for pretty much any topic you can imagine! Coop(do a member search on mercurycruizers) is the state rep for Washington...he would just love to here from you...he may be able to help you with your search for a fender also. My car was originally the same brite lime green you had(cool colour)..here is a link to the same subject(my original fender is also pictured):http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=24108
to the board. E-mail me, I have parts & parts cars. I live in Pacific, Washington. Next to Auburn....
Howdy and I've never seen a black and grey interior. What part of the interior is grey? Is it just the seat plaid? As far as fenders, any year will bolt on but 73 and newer will have to be notched for stone guard clearance. Very easy to do.
Yes. Just the inserts. Also, does anyone make upholstery for Mavericks? My front seat insert is worn through to the foam in a spot, also my headrest has a tear in the vinyl.
'72 MavGrab, Wellcome to the board, I'm knew to the board as well...These guys seem to be quality people with the same sick passion! I'm up in Curlew--about 120 miles north and west of Spokane--Where in the world is Bow Lou
Bow is located along Chuckanut Drive between Burlington and Bellingham. It is just a small community, you could drive right by it and not even notice. Mike
Same with Curlew, except it is not inbetween anyplace that a narmal person would actually go!!! Chances are you would never drive through it to miss it.
I just figured out where you're at. I have a cousine not far from there... I'm interested in figuring out where the Pacific Northwest folks are in the off chance that I,we,they might be able to have a looksee what each other is up to. I'm a long way from having my Mav road worthy, but would sure like to see what folks around here are up to, and would be happy to share bad advice. Lou
