    Interesting.

I am going to be blasint whole front end and engine well, so I am sure I'll make a huge ass mess. Might look into that for cleaning.

You really want those pics? lol.

Luckily I took the advice of some here during my painting spell and bought a very nice respirator. So no sand up my nose. Should have seen the leftover paint in my boogies though. LOL.

Bead usually refers to glass beads. They are less aggressive, which create less heat.

    Not sure about this

I was going to try this the other weekend on my c4 case. As I was inspecting the feed tube it appeared to me that the cleaning agent is introduced prior to the pump.

That seems wrong to me, but that is what it looks like. I did not have a warm fuzzy about running baking soda through the pump,:naughty: so I did not conduct the exp.

I wasn't too sure how the cleaning agent was introduced, but I don't blame you for not wanting to run baking soda through your pump. Maybe on a rented washer...

That's why I don't buy rental equipment. You know what they call rental cars?

After doing a little more research... The product is called ARMEX (made by Arm & Hammer) and you need a unit called a WADU (Water something dispension unit or something like that) that is used to inject the ARMEX into the high pressure steam. I googled WADU and ARMEX together and got all kinds of useful information.

The ARMEX can also be used in a regular type sand blaster and cleans up with water. It's more expensive and can't be reused, but it might be worth it for the cleanup and how gentle it is on the sheet metal. Also, there's no need to tape off every bolt hole since the ARMEX just rinses out. Might save on prep time.
