I bought a new starter for my V8 swap, it's a mini high-torque starter, and it has three posts. Two big and one small, on one of the big posts, the starter spins, and on the other it does nothing, and on the small posts, it engages and disengages the cog from the flywheel. And here in lies the problem, when I connect both the small post that engages, and the big post that spins, it will spin, but not engage... Am I wiring something wrong, both positive leads are coming from the starter side of the solenoid, any help is much appreciated, thanks guys.

Sorry I missed this post somehow (and found it looking for something else).

Did you ever get the problem taken care of?

Yeah, it was a crappy ebay re-build and the bendix (sp?) wasn't engaging. Bought a reman at autozone, no problems, cranked the engine and now have it running.
