I am looking for a transmission piece, it is like a gear but it is made of plastic, it is located in the end of the transmission, and is for working of the speed marker, it is like a gear with spiral by outside, is for a 5 speed trasmision, 4 forward and reverse, i know than is a ford transmission, Y dont know the kind of trasmission, but the trasmission was adapted to my maverick '77 from a maverick '73. Somebody know which is the name of this piece and where i can get it??? Tomorrow I will try to put a photo of this gear. Thank you for your help
If your talking about the gear attached to the output shaft of the transmission inside the tailshaft housing, it's called the speedometer drive gear. If you can find a part number on the transmission I think Ford and a lot of the Mustang parts businesses still sell them.
eh!!!!!!!!!! I found it!!!!!!!!!!! used but in good shape!!!!!!!!!!!! thanx, anyway for your comments!!!
