http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...RK:MEWN:IT&viewitem=&item=280111834269&rd=1,1 Just bought it!! Been looking for one of these forever. cant wait to bolt it on!!
Very cool!!! I went to the link, no photo But I've seen 'em before so I'll get over it. How much did it end up costing, and I would be very interested in any thoughts you have on performance once you get it on. Also any lesons you may learn as you dial it in for your application. Again, Very Cool Lou
I'm really intrested in the results you get from it. Are you just swaping heads? nope this will be a compleate replacment from a 200 to a 250. Still think it will make a world of difference
Go to fordsix.com for threads and info on the Auzzi head. If you have Mav with a 6 and want to build it up, this site is the place to go.
i hope you get a huge improvement for your $900 investment in a USED head. what do these run new? or can you get a new one like this?
Cant get them new. They stopped producing them in the 70's. The new alum. head runs aroud $1400.00 plus $400.00 for the manifold. So all considered not bad. Classic inlines sells them used for $800.00 plus shipping if they have them. Ive been on a waiting list forever! The american log head doesent do much for performance, so hence the $900.00 price. Do some porting, add some larger valves, a 350 hollley 2bbl and it adds about 40 hp over the same work on a log head. On a 250 that right at 195 hp. without a cam or headers {that I already have}. Estimate about 225 flywheel hp when done, driving a 4 speeed through 3,55 gears in a 2600 lb car. Should be fun!
thanks for the info. i guess i need to do some more research into these heads. sounds very interesting.
