need idler arm for 70 mav.

    ok while I have ordered the parts for my front end I noticed the idler arm should be replaced also..I contacted laurel mountain mustangs but have not heard from them yet..Anyone else bought new one recently and where???

    i have a new one in the box...do you have a # so i can check and see if it is the one you need. i bought it for a mav. and don't remember the one it fits.

    I am having a problem locating a part number myself I have a 70 mav..I can't even find where a 70 mav had an Idler arm most parts start at 74 and up???My mechanic told me to pick up an idler arm I have to go out and look under the car and see...

    Shouldn't he (and I) replace the bushing in the end of the center link at the same time?

    I have tried those part numbers for the moog and it does not come up..Summit racing.com
    Even tried other moog sites is there a book that you are getting them from???

    just got back from ..Advance Auto Parts...the guy ran the TRW # and it came up for a '73...bingo!!! thats my car. he said the # was for a '70--'74 i will be keeping this one.:sorry:

    Advance can get them through...Rare Parts #20395...$$38.44 plus tax.

    I have one that is used, but reuseable, if you don't find one...just pay $5 plus shipping...

    I cannot seem to find out how those look installed, and what to torque the castle nut to. I have been looking for 3 hours, and currently on hold with MOOG to find out...

    All the ones I have taken apart were frozen solid and/or had a bunch of extra washers on them to bandaid fix it...
