hi all, it's tough to find rust free cars here in the east, but I did1
My ride is a 70 maverick orange, with black interior and 200 six with 3 on the tree. It has 38 k original. The perfect candidate for a v8 buildup.
I found a low mile 302 roller engine and treated it to an e 303 cam(swap meet 50 bucks!new!), an hv oil pump and a new chain. It's got your basic 66 289 intake ( 20 bucks) and a holley 600 . T 5 trans and 59 ford 9inch with 4.11 cogs. so far i,ve managed to keep it low buck , but she's decent . Call it a mid life crisis car i guess.....I,ve had many cars over the years but Ford is in my blood . one exception. The 302 has an hei gm type ignition. cheap and it works. sorry ford purists...anyhow thanks for listenin....ron

speed costs money ...how fast do ya wanna go

My last fast car was a 69 roadrunner 383 4 gear with 457 gears . it went 12.56 @105.mph .sold it 11 years ago for 2600 now it would be 20 grand..dang ...anyhow 2 kids and a house and wife ...gotta build em for cheap now. so the mav is basically a fun car. Think my 1/4 mile days are over... but you never know...

welcome to the board. bracket racing is a lot of fun. dosen't take a whole lot of bucks either. i also had a 69 roadrunner, 383 magnum, 4 speed. i forget what it ran, but it was a fun car. it was a darg green with a black vinyl top.:)
