    Event: Oklahoma State Mini-Meet
Location: Mid-America Ford Performance and Shelby Meet - Tulsa, Oklahoma
    Contact: Randy Campbell

There will be an Oklahoma Mini-Meet held at the Mid-America Shelby meet. This is a five day event with many activities for Ford fanatics. This will be a great weekend with drag races at Tulsa Raceway Park, a cruise in vintage Brookside, open track racing at Hallett, an evening banquet with drawings and door prizes, the Sunday car-show, and many other fun events for the whole family. The Mini-Meet will be held on Sunday during the car show; however several of us will be attending other events taking place on the other four days. Registration starts on Sunday at 8:30 AM. However, please pre-register if you can as it will make it easier for them to reserve our spots on the field. We will meet before the show and drive there together. The meeting place has not yet been determined. Please contact Randy Campbell if you are planning to attend or have any questions.

I'm FINALLY going to be able to attend this meet! (only, not in the Comet:( )...I will taking the Cobra instead:drive:

Anyone else from Texas headed north? I'll be leaving Dallas/Fort Worth on thursday afternoon (2pm-ish?) - anyone want to caravan/tag along? I'll have my trusty $49.99 radar detector/fuzzbuster to communicate with (CB radio:dancing: )...

I was mainly going to Tulsa for another reason, but to couple it with the Mid-America meet is a bonus...for some of you wanting to view history unfold firsthand, this is where I will be on Friday, June 15th around noon:

www.buriedcar.com (click on "events") - looks like alot will be going on that weekend! (which explains why all the hotels are booked up!)

I'd love to meet fellow Maverick/Comet owners! I need some inspiration (or a kick in the azz) to finish my car! :rofl2:

AWESOME! By my calculations, I should be rollin' into Tulsa around 7:30ish - 8pm...i'll definitely check out brookside! (won't be hard to miss me either - i'll be in a teal (bluish/green) 93 Cobra...so if you see a guy driving a Cobra with Texas plates, flag me down!)

Thanks Rando(y) And yes, I will be at the unearthing - probably at the convention center to view it unearthed, then go outside to watch it be brought inside on the flatbed...and I'll go ahead and be willing to bet that the Plymouth is pretty well intact if not almost flawless after all those years!

Count me in if you guys are planning to hit a cruise spot anytime for food!

The '57 Belvedere being "exumed" should be an interesting event. I'm sure there were personal messages and such buried along with it.

Good luck to all who attend the Mini-meet.

Are you talking about Friday night at the convention center or the dig-up?

I talked to the convention center yesterday. They will be taking the car and other items to the car show on the 16th (not the Shelby meet, but a car show downtown). $5 will get you in the door.
