ryan, how come i didn't see you at the fun ford weekend at firebird. i was the only mav there on sat. on sunday one other showed up. one guy stopped by that said he was putting a 460 in a mav. was hoping to see more mavericks there. we were even outnumbered by the pintos.
LordZero I wonder about that guy too. I met him this past summer when he came up from Portland, OR by train to Bellingham, WA (262 mi) to buy my roommates '75 two door sight unseen and drive it back. I only heard from him once after that. He was a nice kid with more enthusiasm than I've seen for some time.
Still kicking .... For those wondering - Yup I am still around. Went through a nasty divorce which caused a lack of time and funds. Now the guy that was helping me with my restoration is going through a tough divorce too. The 1972 Grabber I was working on turned out to be a bigger challenge than I expected when I found rust around the windshield. I have decided to take the ton of parts that I have spent big $$$ and put them in a vehicle that is more worthy. I am the guy that bought this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=6057&item=2445064187 I have talked to this guy and he assured me that if it wasn't for the smashed trunk lid the car could probably just be buffed out with no painting required and no rust at all. We'll see this weekend when it rolls into my driveway. Being deliver this Saturday. This will be my new project. First thing I have to to is take all the brand new suspension and 5-lug disc brake set up out of the 72 Grabber and put it in the 71. In the near future i will have alot of extra parts that will more than likely be put of for sale including: Grabber Hood Sport Mirrors Doors 1973 302 engine and C4 lots of extra parts since I be making 1 Grabber out of 2 ..... I will sell the 72 Grabber shell if anyone is interested. Lots of new sheet metal already welded in. http://homepage.mac.com/dmhines/PhotoAlbum31.html Also have a new AK quarter panel. Dan ...
Those divorces can wipe you out mentally, and financially. Been there a couple of times myself. The price of freedom is not cheap but its worth evey penny in my book. I wonder what happened to Arnold Lester?
Charlie, great to see you back on board again! Your website continues to be a great resource, thanks! Dan, great to see you back on the board again as well!
