    2nd Annual MCG National Gathering
    July 17-19, 2008 in Joplin, MO

    The Maverick Comet Group is excited to announce the 2nd Annual MCG National Gathering. We are looking forward to seeing everyone again, and hopefully draw some new faces from the area. If you were not able to attend the inaugural MCG National Gathering in 2007, you won't want to miss this one!

    Just wanted to let everyone know that the hotel name change indicated on the MCG website is complete -- the Ramada in Joplin is now a LaQuinta. The sales manager for the hotel just called me a few minutes ago. They are complete with their room renovations and I'll be checking things out when we are down there this weekend to visit family.     Let's get those reservations made early! Remember, if you wait until July to book your room, you will have a tough time getting a room anywhere in town. (That's no joke, I've been in that situation before, summer is very busy for Joplin hotels) They are holding the rooms until 30 days prior to the event, after that they open them up to the general public!
