Someone here in the boards was asking for the brazilian GT emblems. I went to the brazilian google and typed ford maverick and well, you can predict the rest of the story. http://www.skillemblemas.com.br/detalheprod.asp?prod_id=12 OMG!!! :bananaman now get'em!
Last I checked, they call their bucks "reals" and exchange is about 2 real to a buck, so 20 bucks. I wonder if that's for a pair??
When did you check? I know they don't use 'dollars', but one of these many "Brazil parts" threads had a Brazilian saying the exchange rate was pretty much 1 for 1. I have no idea myself. Just going by what has been posted. That is for a pair from what I could tell.
Nope! One for 40 reals. So a pair is somewhere between 40 and 80 bux U.S. I got a pair of 70 1/2 NOS Z28 emblems for $28 not too long ago. I know they aren't Ford parts, but they were gorgeous and NOS...
According to this site, today's rate is 1brl = $.54 or $1 = 1.83brl http://www.x-rates.com/d/BRL/table.html
$19 each. I checked after Babelfish translated the page from Portuguese(closest they had) to English. Currency converter+Google=answers. I like the V8 emblems a lot.
Finding parts was never a problem. We know there are plenty of parts sources in Brazil. The question is can you get them shipped here. If that is a yes then we're in buisness.
Emblems How many zeros in a brazilian? I didn't even know that a brazilian Mavericks were ever made ... that's more emblems than there are cars ... How much more than a trillion is that? Sorry guys, I just had to ... my coffee is just kickin' in .... Have a GREAT Friday!
They made them there longer than they did here. Also, they ALL had small bumpers there. No bumper laws. They came in GT as well as some dealer converted station wagons. The Pinto/Stang/T-bird I4 was available, as well as I6 and V8. The dashes had real glove boxes, the cars could have full center consoles, and many came with factory tachs that match the style/font of our speedos!
Brazillian Mavs Dang Ratio ... it is a joke! Like a brazillian Mavericks would be 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 cars. Get it? Ooooh ... Oooooh ... OoooH ... my 100th post! Whoo-Hoo!
