I have not put new studs in my comet or mav. But have on other cars. I just took a hammer and started the stud enough to get a nut on it and used the nut to pull it in.

Just like Dean said.Get the sud lind up with the hole and use a open wheel nut but put it on backward [tapered part out] and just tighten it up till the stud is seated.Thats all!

here's an intersting question however, how do you guys go about getting a broken off stud out? My thoguhts were to smack it with a hammer and pray that it pops out, using a punch, but seems to be no luck, not on a mav, but my buddy's charger... heh they're made allmost ideantical though For now, he just cruises with 4 lugs like a moron... oh well

I have used an air hammer with the end that goes to a point to get them out.

couple of good smacks with a hammer and punch will get them out. works better if you pull the axle and support the flange immediately around the stud you're pulling.
