its something we actually do. (y) We start with a basic MegaSquirt rig and then add our own ecu, custom tigged case, we make our own flyback boards (the green boards you see inside electronics with all the electrodes soldered to them), add injectors and rails or, as is the case on my supercharged 351w, a 4bbl style TBI unit. I'd be happy to work with you on your injection project. I can provide a setup, or just talk with you about building your own. We're into it, man. :burnout:

Either way, you'll need to dial in the injection after its up and running with a basic set of programming. We CAN flash your ecu here and ship it back to you, but the BEST way to dial in an injected setup is having the running car on hand to tweek the programming and make adjustments. If your computer savvy, I can talk with you about doing it yourself. You'll need to make a cable, or buy one from me or elsewhere- that will allow your PC to talk with the ecu in the injection computer. Theres more to it and it seems daunting at first glance- but its well worth it IMO. Injection offers unlimited tuning, ZERO stalling even with huge cams, etc- the ability to control all kinds of progressively introduced things: nitrous, boost, methanol/water injection, etc etc.

Send me a pm w/an email and I'll send you some pics of the custom made injection stuff.

Mad Max, I think it's great that you are building these parts specific for our cars and are offering a good price to the board members.

If I didn't already have both the Cal-Tracs and a 4-point shock tower brace, I'd be very interested in what you have to offer.

Keep up the good work!

    Thanks for the encouragement guys!

I have decided to say "f**k it" and make both the slide a links and tower braces out of top grade 4130 chromoly steel instead of anything lesser, however adequate it may have been. The price won't change- I'd rather be known as the guy that has really top shelf stuff than making a few extra bucks by skimping on materials (not that making money is a bad thing, you understand, lol).

We're doing up the strut tower brace for my car right now- and one for a board member who, like me, runs a blower. He will be a product tester for me with regards to the roots type blown tower brace... but I need another test car- a normally carb'd small block w/power brakes. I can talk details privately with someone who may be interested. Contrary to popular belief, there is a bit of work on your part involved in product testing beyond just getting free stuff. lol. :p

I guess you decided to not use me for testing after all . Oh well.

I look forward to seeing the tower braces.

no no- you're in... but I thought you had mentioned that you didn't have power brakes? or am I mistaken? (I may be- I've been talking with a ton of folks lately about the braces!) :tiphat:

If you need two carbed small block power brake cars to test on, count me in. :)

OK, sorry, I thought you were mad at me for the Caltracs comment.

Anyways, I have 2 cars that I can test the braces on, one is my Maverick I use for racing and the other is a bone stock Comet. Neither of them have power brakes. The stock Comet would be good to use to see if they clear everything including the air cleaner. The racing Mav would be good to test to see if there are any ET improvements (probably not, but maybe).

Lol No, no. I told you man, I'm real easy going. Everyone is entitled to state their feelings on a public message board- I'll defend my position if I feel I have a valid point to make, but I'm not one of those guys who feels the need to try and triumph in an internet argument, or sway everyone to my way of thinking. Wouldn't want that, just ask my wife! lol.

I am intrested in a couple sets of the tower braces. Please keep us posted on your progress. Can we see pic's when you get a set finished? I did not see what you are going to be charging for the braces but knowing me I probably missed it.
    Thanks, Chuck
