What does it sound like a clunk or a sweak? Did you check your spring perches they make weird noises. If their bad they can clunk or make your spring have a clunk sound or sweak. Good Luck!

    Hi Ives,

You might also check the sway bar bushings. I had this issue when I first bought my '73 Maverick. The rubber bushing that goes around the sway bar was completely gone.

My car had a metal-to-metal "clunk" each time I went over a bump in the road.

These rubber bushings are available at most any auto parts store and are cheap.

    I hope this helps,

everything else looks ok, do you think it might be a bushing that might be bad. are coil springs suppose to have something like rubbers on the ends?

i think im suffering from the same problem myself going over bumps. i thought it was all the rust and tthe bumper was banging(back when it was big bumpered)

it wasnt, so i greased everything and changed all 4 shocks and it still does it.

could it be a ball joint?
