Good score, for $200. Lincoln Versailles and Mercury Monarch 9 in with disc didnt have small bearings, at least mine doesn't. They use the same bearings and housing ends as the F150 pickup rear housings, and also use 1/2 inch retainer bolts instead of 3/8 inch bolts. In fact, when I junked out the disks on mine, I used 64 F150 backing plates with 57 Ford station wagon drums. Double check before you count on the small bearings. By the way, the later Ford Explorer rear disks are a much much better setup. The early rear disks were heavy and went through pads like nobodys business. The caliper is a rude floating design, and wore pads unevenly on both sides.

You got a good deal for 175, especially with trac-loc. The last disk brake rear I bought I gave 200 for and that was about 10 years ago or so. It needed rotors and calipers rebuilt too.

If you got a 9" disc Versillies rear, why would you just take the discs off and put on an 8"???
They wouldn't fit off a Lincolin rear, but I hadda ask 'why'...

The only ones that fit small bearing are the Crown Vic 8.8" discs.
Exploder 8.8" discs fit Torino bearing...
Don't know what fits large bearing, maybe Versillies.
I know they had big bearings, but don't know which. (regular big or Torino big)

Why is because i am gonna put in new axels(their 28 spline) and gears.
So for small bearing rear end i can use explorer disc's awesome!

    No...
Exploder discs can be slightly modded to fit a Torino bearing, NOT a small bearing.
Some year Crown Vic discs can be slightly modded to fit a small 9" bearing/big 8" bearing (5 lug 8").
