why do you need an oil temp gauge. it's usually a water temp gauge or an oil pressure gauge. if it's oil pressure it goes from the back of the gauge to the oil pressure port right next to the fuel pump. at least on a v-8. some one else can tell you on a 6. water temp goes from the gauge to the opening in the intake manifold. again these are on a v-8. :)

toowards the front drivers side. you should see a line coming out of the fender to the fuel pump. right next to the fuel pump, but forward again is the oil pressure sensor. the original one takes a 1" open end wrench to remove. i bought some brass fittings at ace hardware to install my new one. the original is for an idiot light.:)also you can trace the fuel line back from the carburetor too it.
