$1000 for Coast to Coast sounds about right.

Sounds about right but she better do it quick with gas going up like it is. They will surely have to raise their prices soon. Get them to check Dependable Auto Shippers if they haven't already done so. I have had three cars shipped by them so far and have been very happy with them. 800-826-1083

It also depends on how big of a hurry they want it shipped. If they are willing to wait....the price goes down. A car I bought took 3 weeks to get here from Oklahoma.....but I was not in a hurry. Also....if you can drop it off at the terminal and pick it up at a terminal....that will save you as well.

Check out DAS, they do the shipping for ebay, it should cost about half that.

when we sold the 77, I believe it cost the buyer about 1400 for an enclosed transport to the east coast from Iowa.

I did DAS from Kali coast to panhandle of FL.
Was about 900 from seller's door, to my local terminal for me to pick up.
More or less coast to coast.
The fact that the seller wanted a home pickup cost me extra.
If the seller will drive it to the local terminal, it will save you.
If you want it to your door, that is extra.
Also, if you go by their time schedule, it is cheaper. If you make them set a date and make them garuantee a delivery date, they charge more.

If you want the car top rack, it costs more. Bottom rack can get oil drips and such from top... They wash your car before pick up, so I went bottom. Mine wasn't a show condition car either.
If the car doesn't drive itself on to the truck, it costs more.

    1000 bux is about right.
Price will be going up tho. Diesel is through the roof!

I believe today $1000 is not bad. DAS wanted $1200 top rack ,terminal to terminal from Phoenix to E Iowa two months ago. I got Lucky & found a private guy that did it to my door for $550 & even brought parts! Good Luck
