converted to small this weekend but when i went to plug in the front lights i saw that they didn't have a ground strap like the 74 did when you turn the blinker on it just lights up no blink. is the casing grounded to the bumper or do i have to convert something else?:hmmm:
    thanks

Did you swap in the under bumper lights or are you still using the grill lights?

if they come on it wouldnt be a ground issue right? sounds like it would be the flasher in the fuse box if they just light up but dont flash

sorry i miss wrote that they don't come on at all but when i plug the old one back in they turn on but won't blink unless i ground with the wire. i printed out the wiring diagram for the 72 and the74 and they both show a wire coming out to the ground but the 72 dosen't have that wire. i know somebody on here has converted and has run into this prob. i need help (wifes car)

If I remember right, those lights ground to the body. Clean up the mounts if they're rusty - make sure they're getting good contact. The grill lights have a ground wire the mounts to the core support.

Randy is correct, they ground through the house of the lights themselves. That means three possible points for a bad ground... between the bumper brackets and front frame, between the bumper and the bumper brackets, or between the light housings and the bumper. I'd also be sure to check there is no corrosion or anything in the light sockets.
