Just curious as to how many people from Ontario Canada, are on here...... never seen another Maverick or Comet on the road around here, if there are enough of us I think it would be cool for us to get together in the summer. I have never even seen a Mav or Comet at a show for that matter.....
I'm near Brockville Ontario. There is a few around here. A green 4 door, I saw a copper colour 73 driving down the road, there is a 77 with a 351 in Kingston, I know of at least 5 in Ottawa. There is also a 77 with 16,000 on it in storage right infront of my Charger! Mine isn't in the road yet, but I'm hoping late summer. Mine is an old ladies car with 22,525 miles on it. Its slowly turning into a 5.0L, 5spd, EFI, etc. I have a Vesilles diff aswell but I might hold off on installing that. I have all the small bumper parts as well. Here is a pic before the work began:
guess I need to live more towards the eastern end of Ontario.... we should have a get together in the summer, would be cool to actually see some other mav's and comets on the road hey adam, know where I can find the small bumper parts also? any in the local yards? you guys find Mav's or Comet's in the local yards?
Hi Squall; I'm from Port Dover, but my car is a wheelstand racer at this point. The only Mav I know of on the roads around here is the '77 four door some old guy around here still uses to do the rural mail!!! (It doesn't look like it's going to last him much longer though). I know of another one nearby, parked for the past 2 years or so, that I'm trying to buy. It's got all the small bumper stuff, in good shape (Needing chrome though) and a decent black interior. Hope I can talk him out of it before the ground swallows it up!. My own car is a '73, getting a hopped up 302 4 speed with Versailles diff and 4 wheel discs. I've also got the duck tail spoiler, Grabber hood, Bobcat lights on the way, and a few other goodies stockpiled. Completion date? Summer of 2004? Hope to get together with any Ontario guys that are interested someday. Later! Sincerely; John B.
Well I don't know of any small bumper cars off the top of my head. There was a complete 77 missing only the wheels up the road at a wreckers....miss comunication resulted in pancake styled Mav. What a waste. I have a 69.5 stashed away if you need a few things. All the bumper stuff is gone.
I think it would be cool for a bunch of us get together next year, I imagine there has to be some car event in eastern Ontario for us to get together at
Ontario Members Have a 70 2 door which will be on the street this summer, cousin of mine has 2 one for the track and other for the street which is being built up. Live in the North Toronto area (close to Canadas Wonderland). What part of Ontario are you in??
Canadian Mini-Meet ? Support Check out site news and Canadian Mini-Meet , if we have enough support we could arrange one in the Ottawa capitol region ! There are 2 local tracks we may be able to work something out with the promoter's for a Saturday in the summer ? Time is short with schedules already in place for most events ! Rick Miller
just reviving this post to see if anyone wants to get together this summer..... my car may not be pretty yet but I still think it would be cool to atleast put some faces to the names and for us to get together Jason

I'd be interested in a CDN Mav meet, but my car won't be ready this year. Would probably show up without it anyway, just to meet a few fellow Ontario Mav owners. Up until mid-winter there was an old guy delivering the rural mail near here (Port Dover) in a '77 Mav 4 door. I haven't seen it for a while though. It was looking pretty rough lately; might have finally bit the bullet. John B.
