Hey, i was looking to make my grabber hood functional without ruining an original set scoops by cutting them up.

so is there anywhere i could find some sort of carbon fiber, fiberglass, etc.. inserts?

theres really noy much airflow to be gained through those little holes. as far as i know there are no repos out there either

you can however order the entire hood with the scoops built into it, all one piece, in carbon fiber or fiberglass.

might want to try ebay, see if you can pick up used scoops to drill out

i cut my center out, engine gets real dirty now. bought a different set going to change them back. as far as air flow i think it does gain something. these are close to the same style as the 68-70 gto, that had ram air. correct me if iam wrong.

good to know there is some sort of air flow difference. if i cut out the centers though i would definitely fit some wire mesh and a filter on there.

I drilled out the spaces in the cast "mesh", then filed the holes to size. I doubt any real fresh air intake gains as well, but it does make a good heat duct, exhausting hot air out of the engine compartment when its sitting still.
