I desided to keep the car. So i plan to make it bigger and badder over the winter. the first thing is i think a chin spoiler will look good so can anyone tell me if one of a 67 Mustang will fit. I can't get one for a Maverick up here so i figure there must be mustang one that will fit:drive:

Those things have a lot of flex to them. If you find a car with approximately the same curve and width you can easily make it work. The less it matches the more work it will take to make it work.

They make chin spoilers for Mavericks. The quality is not perfect but workable. They don't have a website so you'll have to call them. I think the price is around 60-70 dollars.

I'm not going to say the spoiler won't fit, but the valances are not the same as the Maverick.

The 1969 Shelby Mustang fits perfect. It is $100 and you can get one at Tony Branda Shelby parts. The MAS is trash compared to it.

I got my front spoiler from "Maverick Connection" a few years ago. It was for the 70-72 Maverick/Comet. Mine being a 73, I knew I would have to massage it to fit. If you start at the middle & work your way out, it will fit great. Here's a couple of pictures of mine on a 73 valance. Notice how good it looks painted the same color as the car?
To answer the question, "will a 70-72 chin spoiler work, on a 73 valance?" The answer is: "Yes!!!!"

I bought the chin spoiler and tried to install it but it didn't seam to fit right so I never put it on. The Maverick will only be getting regular maintenace because I picked up two more projects a few weekend ago.. 1) 1971 Porsche 914
    2) 19?? fiberglass kit car
The Mav might get an Aluminum rad in it this spring

Since 1973 is different I would say it would not fit. I sold my 1969 Shelby Mustang spoiler to Chris Mosses here on the board. Maybe he can take a picture of it for you. If I was going to use a chin spoiler on my car I would use the 1969 Shelby Mustang one. I guess it went up in price like everything else has.

will other variations of 69 spoilers work or was the shelby lower valence a closer fit to the maverick?

the reason i ask is because mustangsunlimited sells a few diffrent 69 spoilers, shelby, boss, and i think one other one. all ranging in price as well
