And how much work was it to get them in on stock bucket seat brackets?

How do they feel in the car, and what is your overall opinion of them?

I have two decent sets available for $75 per pair, and want to make sure they will go onto my bucket seat brackets without too much hassle and will feel right in the car afterwards.

FYI--The maverick brackets are 13" apart. The Escort seat bracket mounting holes are 16" apart...

I have the Escort GT seats with the fishnet headrest and they sit a little low but OK for me. I drilled my floor and used some washers for support. I installed them so long ago I don't remember what else I had to do. I know that I really like them and they get (got, lol) alot of compliments. Not sure about the exact year either...hope all this uninformitive info helps...

Well, a tropical storm is rolling in as we speak, so I will have to put the seats aside for a couple days (gotta go surfing instead:clap:). I might just buy them and see how hard they are to make fit. I have a couple different mounting ideas that would allow me to adjust the height up or down a couple inches.

Well...I have a couple set of non-GT escort seats I have access to but I am debating on the $75 for the pair of moldy smelling boring looking seats, compared to the (at the other end of the spectrum) $200 each for new seats from JEGS...

    I am still contemplating this...

I might just save up and get some really nice seats new from JEGS or Summit and quit screwing around with trying to get junk yard seats to fit this car...

Probably not...you guys know me too well. I will do it the hard and expensive way...

My '94 escort wagon seats are pretty comfortable. These probably would look good in a Mav/Com if they were covered to match.

i was thinkin the same thing i have a 99 zx2 as a daily driver and i like the seats they comfortable i think they would look good in my mav if i could get a black vinyl uploltsery cover for them but im going to go with some 70 mach 1 seats and the sport seat conversion for them offered by national parts depot. i think it would look pretty slick with them.

I have Escort GT seats in my 71 and I also put them in the 77 I used to have. They bolted right to the stock Maverick seat tracks. Comfy seats!!
