I was curious, and i figured you guyz could probably tell me. I was looking at the pics of Corbins mav (very nice corbin thumbs up) and i noticed that his grabber/lookalike has a round maverick emblem on the grille, the 70 mav that i am picking up as soon as the i6 is yanked has a similar emblem; is that emblem specific to the "grabber" model??
Thanks for the compliments! As far as the emblem goes, I think, it was only on Grabbers in 70 - which mine doesn't look like because of the Grabber hood. Starting in 71 the Grabbers came with the scooped hood and the grill with the sport lights in it. I chose this grill because I love the looks of it. The grill with the center medallion came on various models of Mavericks from 70-72 . In 73 they changed to the grill with the lights for every model of Maverick. I hope this helps. -Corbin
center medallion = emblem in question i take it? so that emblem does not signify any "super special" maverick? well thats okay too, i guess i'd feel a little cooler if i had a "special" mav.
That was the standard grill and emblem on all Mavericks from 70-72. THe 70 Grabber used the same emblem but had a black grill. 71 and 72 Grabbers had the grill with the sportlights sans the center emblem.
What about emblems on the body of the car...My 77' that I got yesterday doesn't have a single emblem anywhere. Even my dash is bare, and there aren't any holes...
