I have had a 74 2d 302 v8 Maverick for 5 years. She is red with white top. She came to me after she lived in Misconcin. I did all the body work myself. There was rust all the way around. I worked all day at a paint and body shop. Then I came home and worked on her an hour or 2 every day. I finaly got her perfect. Perfect for me anyway. We had the front end and transmission rebuilt. Had the seats recovered. She has Eldlebrock Dominator intake with Edlebrock 600 carburator. We also put Flowmaster muffler sysem with H pipe. She would just purr or she could let people know she was here. I loved her spirit. Now her body is dead. I had a wreck on December 21st. I let her down. Was hit on right side and pushed into pick-up on left side. Frame and axle are bent.

Welcome to the forums Judy! Wills Point I see... I am staying in Rowlett during the week and in Marietta OK in the weekend. I been thru Wills Point a few times, nice quiet place. When I want to post pics I have to save them somewhere on my PC (usualy on desktop) as a jpg file. When you are creating a post you go down to manage atachments and a window will pop open. Pretty easy...
Welcome to the board, Judy. So sorry to hear about your Maverick. I'm also in the autobody profession, so I know the feeling of never having the time to work on your own vehicles. It just plain sucks when all that hard work gets wiped out in an instant. Just keep in mind that you have the knowledge and know-how to build another Maverick. There is another Maverick out there just waiting for you to find it.
I know what it's like to work your ass off on a car and then have it go down the drain in the blink of an eye. I wrecked my first Mav back in November of 2005 after having worked on it for the prior 8 months getting the car mechanically sound (it had been sitting and not ran since 1992 when I got it). I was just seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with it, when I was driving along one morning and BAM, got hit by a Lincoln Navigator. Really sucks.
