For my 302HO rebuild what would be better for the rebuild the stock forged pistons or a brand new set of hypereutectic pistons? I do intend to use a 100 shot of laughing gas.

depends on how much you intend to use the gas. once in a blue moon is fine with stock, racing often -use hypers

The stock forged pistons, made by TRW, are stronger than the hypers. I won't even run hypers in a mild NA application, especially if they're Keith Black pistons. Often hypers don't like the pressure spike that nitrous causes, can make them shatter. I know some guys get away with it, most don't.

Stock forged if the skirts aren't exessively worn.Hypers are ok,just watch your timing/fuel delivery when you're sprayin' it.

I know that some folks praise hypers, but some folks swear they are brittle.

I would stay away from them out of an abundance of caution when using a power adder.

Not to say that you should use the stock forged pistons either.
They are stronger of course, but are they worn out?
    Does you block need boring?

If so, then you can just get the stock replacement forged pistons in an overbore size.
That is what I would do, unless the stock block and pistons are still perfect.

The block and pistons are fine....Well I guess I just answered my own question then, since the factory forged pistons are stronger and are in good condition I should use them.

Unless there's a problem with the stock pistons, they should be stronger.:)
