Have you hammered your "new" engine and semi-tuned carb yet? How does it feel?

    Inquiring minds want to know.

If you haven't tuned the carb correctly yet, please step away from the car and let Anna handle it, okay? Okay. :yup:

Naw, still need to put the richer jets in. It IS running much better than before, and pulls a bit harder, and it will only get better when the carb is tuned to it.

I had it up to 4000 once, but it was starving for fuel by that time, so I backed off. Also, I haven't retorqued the head bolts and don't want to nail it too hard until I do that. Will do it before I drive it again, since it has gone through about 5 heat cycles now.

You can really tell when you get into the "power band" as once it hits 2500 or so, it climbs from there on up pretty quickly!!!

We are dog sitting at the beachhouse this weekend, so it is Jet skis, and not Mavericks for the next few days:thumbs2:

I hope to get into some snow while I am in California, but visiting is MUCH different than living in it...
