I bought a 1970 Maverick that came with the Grabber package. Had the Grabber stripes but not the hood and only came with the straight 6. I did some homework and was told that ford did'nt put any 302's in the 70's model. I got the original window sticker with it and it only cost $1800 brand new and I paid $2800 for it used "65000" miles on it. I gave it to my father and he sold it to a friend of his and I've tried to buy it back so many times, can't talk him out of it. Looking for another 70 model with the Grabber package!!!

I asked him the same thing!!! lol. I kept it for about a year in the back yard and everytime he would come over he would ask me about it. I gave it to him as a Birthday and Christmas present since his B-day is Dec 22. He actually drove it for a couple of years but did'nt keep it up. Don't even look like the same car I bought. I still wish he would have gave me the option to buy it back, just a lack of comunication, no big deal. Now just got to find me another in the same condition that it was in at a good price. I've notice though, in the past couple of years, Mavericks have become popular around here and the price's have really went up. The 70 I had bought came from a 78 year old widow. I was doing some renovation to her house and noticed it setting in her barn. She told me that her late husband had bought it brand new but now it was actually her son's car but he never drove it. She called him for me and he said $3200. I kept talking about it and finally got to meet him, thats when he told me to take it home for $2800 after seeing the window sticker "lol". Now I've got my eyes open looking at every BARN I pass. Hope to see another 1 setting around waiting for me!!

:Welcome: Keep asking. Go over with cash. Wait untill it brakes down then ask them. I don't think there are to many '70 Grabbers around.
