I am looking at these because I cannot find anything decent at the swap meets and junk yards. Also, won't have to have them recovered.

Anyone ever sat in them? How do they feel? Decent quality? Will my 200 lb but fit in in comfortably?

I was kind of tossed up between those and the ones I am looking at. I think I want to have a more modern look when I am done. I want it to look kind of like the wife's 05 mustang when finished, so I am leaning toward the seats with the holes in the headrest.

But I agree, those other seats are MUCH more "correct" for our cars.

I saw maverickmans cars a couple years ago, right after he bought the yellow one that looks just like mine. That is part of the reason I like these seats. His were NIIIIICE!!!

Looked really good with the harness coming through the holes too.

I had a bunch of pictures of that car, but i cannot seem to find them on my computer...

Is the bottom frame flat? I have the stock bucket brackets on my floors, and just need to put a flat plate down between the seat and bracket to bolt them up. So I am not starting from scratch.

Glad to hear they are comfortable. I sat in some racing seats at a shop and they were horrible. Too tight on the rump and luv handles, and really stiff, no cushioning. And these were NOT those crappy plastic all-out racing seats, but looked like the ones we are talking about here.

I would try to find some locally a do a "test sit". What is comfy for one guy is bad for another.

I was looking at building a Cobra kit at one point and one brand of seat commonly used there came in 3 seat widths. At 6'1, 200 lbs, the narrowest was out of the question, but a lot of smaller guys like them. I would have needed the middle width at least, but the bolsters on the seat back were a bit tight.

I have one of those seats in Tan, and it's pretty comfy for me too. Just a bit loose though. I'm only 5'7" 150, so I think they were designed to accomodate larger people than me. :)

I haven't mounted it or anything. I'm not too that point yet.

I also looked at that seat. I might be the ideal size at 5'10 & 185 lbs. Not 100% sure if i'm going to keep the bench seat with the 5 speed.

Well, I am 6-1 and 210 lbs, not really big, but some of the racing seats that i have sat in were a little tight in the rump.

I found this today in CA while driving around, and it looks a lot like those seats (but these were AJF or AJR brand, recognized the logo, don't remember what the initials were), but I don't know if I like how tall they are. Not sure if he put them in wrong or what...They look like they almost touched the ceiling. The other seat was laid back flat and still had the plastic on it. Wonder if he didn't like the way they obstructed his view?

I can put the seat in my car and take a pic for you. I'm not sure how long it will take to get a picture though. Between the weather and family I haven't had much garage time lately. (fingers crossed) This saturday I should be able to get out there.

That would be great if you could just set them in there and snap a shot.

I wish I could find my pics of MaverickMan's seats. I took several shots from different angles.

I am going to PM him and see if he has a good shot for me before I make a decision on these.

Does everyone agree that the one in the mustang looks too tall, or is it just me?
