Hello every one , I need to know if 15x8 cragar wheels will fit in the rear of my maverick with P215/70R15 tires. Once them are worn out how wide of a tire can put on there without rubbing ?

Elliot look at the Thread down the page from this titled "4 1/4" BS". It has a lot of good examples of different size wheels & tires that other members have used. It's a wealth of information on the subject. Good luck.
    Mike:)

yes a 15x8 will fit... BUT...P215/70R15 tires are WAY to small...

15x7 will fit those tires better

    15x8 would best fit a 235 60 15 to 255 60 15 tire...

i am going to get 15x8 rims and 245 60 15 tires... if i can find them cheap enough.. its an odd ball tire.. so they might be pricey..

I just priced the BFG Radial T/As a few weeks ago. 245 60 15 and 255 60 15 were both the same price. Local place wants $194 a pair including mounting, balancing, stems. I'm going with the 255s.

Not on a 4dr Elliot.I had some 15x7 dodge cop wheels on my 75 4dr and that was all it wanted. If you look at them, the quarters on the 4drs don't "swell out" like the 2drs do.I had 255/55's on mine and had to use 1/4" spacers to keep them from rubbing the springs, and only had about 2 fingers at best(yea,I know real scientific measurements) between the outter rim and wheelwell lip.Your tire size would work well on a 7" rim,but the 8's are too wide for the 4dr(at least mine).

Well I just purchase a full set of Cragar Soft 8 wheels with a 4 inch backspacing, Can't I use a 295/50/R15 tire in the rear?
