i know my rotars right now are pretty cut up and since disc brakes in the theme this week in my brakes class at school i figure now would be a good time to invest in a set. ive got new calipers up front but im going to do the pads and rotar at the same time. so any suggestions as the what and where i should buy it and a good price estimate. just want to make sure i got my bases covered. should i do the bearings while im in there? they could be vintage '76 for all i know tho they havent given me any bad signs yet like i said were doing all this stuff in class so the more i do to my car the less i have to waste time doing it on the donated vehicles.
...Roto Pro...they are about $20 more than the .."China Brand"... i put the cheaper ones on first and at 5k i had to have them "turned". at 8k i had to do it again so i took them off and put on the Roto Pro and at 18k they still look new. i would also replace the ...bearings...(Timkin)... ......
I agree with Frank. I put the RotorPros rotors on a couple years ago, and they still look like new......over 15K on the car since then.
Regardless of what rotors you have......I would ask for some organic brake pads. I tend to stay away from the semi-metallic ones. They worn my rotors out in 2 years of service.
I took the car apart once the weather changed, Fall of 2007. But Spring of 2008 they'll see some driving (I hope)
