ladder bar x-member braces, floor bars, door x-brace,etc. main cage all welded up!!stock floor pieces being put back in!!Man there is alot of work in one of these!?
I know you want to be safe and everything but I'd imagine you're adding a heck of a lot of weight to that car. What is that thing going to certify to? Looks good.
looks great...there is a lot of time in that thing and much more to come! Congrats on what is turning into a very nice build.
It's going to be certified to 7.50 and every one of those tubes HAVE to be there for 7.50cert!!The chassis builder has been e-mailing picture's and info back and forth with nhra tech. guy to make sure it passes. This car will be so light that I'll have to add a ton of ballest to get to class weight!!With 1500+ HP it takes alot of tubes to keep it from twisting up!! Thanks for looking.Eric
At least you will be able to put that weight where you want it. What class are you planning on running? I really like that design of the cage.
I hope that you never have to find out how truly safe that car is going to be. It all looks good. It looks like a Pro Stock car. What engine, plans, adders, etc., are going to use to get 1500 HP?
VERY nice work! I put a cage in a Porsche 924 last summer at work that the guy planned to break into the 7's in the 1/4 with. I bent up all the tubing (all stainless) and helped fit it in the car while my boss who is an aircraft certified TIG welder welded it all in. So I know how much work that is! Looks great!
