Torque converter nuts

So are they just nuts with a shoulder? or something special?? I don't seem to have any with my new torque converter??? and I just took 2 to the scrap yard, I'm sure they had nuts.

i know on my tbird, they are one time use and thats no BS, they are so soft

 

You can get them at most hardware stores. If not, try a fastener store like Fastenal

 

I've never noticed anything special about them.

 

The grade 8 strength is in the studs

 

Um, I found the ones the guy that did my transmission gave me, I totally forgot about them, they are lock nuts. Thanks!!
