If you trim the reducer down like Shaunh did, you can use tight radius bends or have a muffler shop bend something up for you. I made the reducers long in case someone wants to run 2 1/4" instead of 2 1/2"
Jamie, You think a muffler shop could make that down piece just like mine? If the flange was a little thinner, I can gain that much more room, need to check it out
i reconfigured the original Y-Pipe to suit my needs with the thorley headers I installed. Thanks Jamie... and by the way, you could've gotten a discount if you had mentioned you belonged to this board... :16suspect but.....they are worth it in quality. I had to reconfigure the original Y-Pipe and make new welds , massage the pipe a bit to clear a few things, but no biggie. It's tight either way, but be careful about getting scratches or breaking the coating, it won't be pretty if you break the coating.
Yes sir 6901's with world products heads. Pretty much leaves out at the track plug changes.... unless you like to bleed!
I did! Those headers are expensive! Good stuff tho. Im a little peeved it didnt clear the pitman arm any better, but I dented the pipe a little and it helped. I havent been able to get up to the muffler shop to get the pieces made between the headers and existing exhaust, so its kind of hard to say how well everything works yet. One thing I forgot to mention is how freakin nice the clutch feels now! It had kind of a hard bend going around one header tube before, so even before I ever started it, the clutch didnt feel that nice. But now that the cable sits like it should, the clutch pedal feels so silky smooth!
Jamie, i called this # 4 times today without reaching you... could you post or PM me a # that you can be reached at? ...shopping for headers...
