I was on my creeper making some preps for the engine install this weekend and was thinking how to route the pipes from the headers. The Maverick is handicapped on the drivers side axle as you have the rubber brake hose, brake line, exhaust hose and mounting bracket clogging things up. Passenger side is easy. Has anyone successfully routed a pipe above the axle on the drivers side without repositioning that hardware, hoses and lines? I am running X-PIPES and am very tempted to do side exhaust. I think it would be unique and avoid the issue of getting the pipe over the axle on the drivers side. My concern is that the gas line runs under the car on the drivers side right by the edge. IS THERE A RISK OF EXHAUST HEAT WITH THE GAS LINE? Can I insulate the gas line? P.S. I will be posting lots of pics of the motor install for ya'all.
Doesnt show the drivers side to well, But maybe you can see enough to help. http://www.maverick.to/mmb/showthread.php?p=373119#post373119
